Banana Island

Banana Island is the work of art which has become notable for architectural masterpieces. It is a man-made island in Lagos State, Nigeria that is slightly curved in shape – like a banana; hence the name. It is located in the Lagos Lagoon and it about 40 kilometers to Freetown thereby making it a border estate of some sort.

Banana Island prides as the first European settlement and its plan is a mix of residential, commercial and recreational buildings. The island is approximately 1,630, 000 square meters in size and it is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the world. It houses many multicultural and multiracial people as well as the finest of building designs.
